There are many famous sightseeings in Komi-Permian area. One of them is Kudymkar in Solikamsky district of Perm region — the centre of Inva area in Stroganovs estate manor.

Kudymkar, Kudymkarskoe, Kudymkar — these are the names of our town in different periods of time.

Thanks to the favourable disposition at the meeting of the rivers Kuva and Inva the settlement was building and growing larger. The costructing was performed according to the special plan of the owner-countess S. V, Stroganova. That plan also farsaw the constructing of the bridge over the river Inva. That bridge was called «Sofiysky» by the people. Still there can be easily seen the straight streets which make the blocks in old Kudymkar, and the main aguare around the atone church, where a lot of festivals took place.

Looking at these rare photoes, you can see the still life of the district village of the previous century and the beginning of this one.

The nations local historian I.Y. Krivoshchekov, the nurse F.A. Kiselev, the artists A.A. Kisclev-Kamsky and P.I. Subbotin-Permiak were from Kudymkar...
