THE FIRE-DEPOT. 1930 years.
From village Skobelevka.

The fire-depot is constructed per 30 years 20th of century on an edge of village Skobelevka,
in 6 kilometers from a museum. It is typical of villages of the South of the Perm area public construction
of the first third 20th of century. In 1976-77-th It is transported and is restored on territory
of a museum. The architect V. Shadrin is the author of the project of restoration.

On the construction the fire-depot repeats traditional of construction of
similar assignment created in 19th century. The building with a ledge from a southwest, is rectangular
in the plan. It is superimposed by a double-side board roof. The office accommodations
- paddock, room for a
fire-brigade adjoin to this building. The poles of an observant tower lean on the beams, stacked in a wall,
where under a low tent the small bell hangs. Inside depot the Exhibition " an Interior of the village
fire-depot " is equipped. K. Grachev, K. Soboleva and artist E. Shelonnikov are the authors of the exhibition.
The materials for an exposition are assembled by the employees of a museum in regions of area.

The represented exhibits allow the visitors to be acquainted with a history of village
fire-fighting protection in our edge in an extremity 19th - first quarter 20th of centuries.
The peasantry of the Perm area bore from fires heavy losses, which made in an extremity 19th of century
on the average 1,5 million rubles per one year. The struggle with fires was vital necessity.
In a middle of the 90-th years XIX centuries the Perm ground authorities have begun creation of
fire-brigade in villages and supply by their fire-fighting stock.
In 1906 such village fire-brigade was organized in a village Skobelevka, it consist of 23 persons.

Interior of the fire-depot shows the typical fireman string of carts.
The carts and sledge with manual pumps from firm "Sonin Perm", cart with the barrels, installed on them,
for water are included into structure it of string of carts. Means of fire suppression: the hooks of
different sizes, axes, buckets, portable fire-escape are shown here. The necessary harness for the
horses hangs on walls. Similar string of carts were in large villages, there, where there were
fire-brigade.
