This test should help you to understand the points rating system used by us to review submitted and nominated websites, and how each point can be earned. Before filling in the fields of the application form, you can try this test for yourself to understand whether you'll earn our award.

Thus, the content has primary value for our evaluation. Even if your site has magnificent design and layout, this site cannot be our winner without the presents of excellent content.

Content: Sites will be scored from 0 to 3 points on each:
Site offered an original theme about history or cultural heritage
Site contains unique information which is difficult to find on other websites.
The content grows out of your own research or your creative work.
Website reflects stages of your research or your creative work, and it is attractive for the visitors by the future renewals.
The contents is clear for the greater part of the visitors.
Website is interesting to all age groups.
The contents is divided into significant themes and it has logical connection between all sections of website.
The method is indicated to check up reliability of an information (references, museum exhibits, links etc.).
All names, terms, and title spelled correctly.
The contents is free from slang, abbreviations, words-parasites.
Navigation: Sites will be scored from 0 to 2 points on each:
The website is well organized and easy to navigate.
The site has a search engine, site map, or index page.
Home page and / or index page is available from any other page.
The main content is accessible from every page of the site.
The website have back buttons, and up links (button) at the bottom of long pages.
Originality and Creativity: Sites will be scored from 0 to 3 points on each:
The content and design is innovative and unique.
The website offers free services (newsletter, free graphics, articles, tutorials, forum, award, etc...).
Site has a creativity and professional appearance.
Effective use of leading edge technologies.
The visitor will want to return again for another visit.
Technical: Sites will be scored from 0 to 3 points on each:
The HTML coding is error free.
Meta tags on main page.
Alt tags are defined for all images.
All frame commands work correctly.
The pages are created without use of HTML-generator.
Layout and Design: Sites will be scored from 0 to 2 points on each:
The related pages have common layout and design.
The font is a reasonable type and size, which are used on each page.
Inscriptions on images (especially in navigation) intelligible and readable.
All graphics should load and be original.
The optimization executed without loss of image quality (No pixilated or low resolution images).
Good color balance in text, links, backgrounds, font, images and other graphical decoration.
Sufficient use of decoration elements; photos and images.
The e-mail address or a link to a "Contact" page available on every page.
Balance between all elements of page (the text, the images, a decor) and space.
Aesthetic and emotional impression from site.
Loading: Sites will be scored from 0 to 2 points on each:
The reasonable downloading on 56k connection speeds.
Site viewable in most current Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers.
Screen resolution sizes of 800x600 and 1024x768 should be viewable without a horizontal scroll bar.
Volume of page elements (HTML coding, scripts, images, etc.) does not exceed 80 kb.
The site is accessible for visitors at any time of day.
